Those are some of the sample screens from OnStar's new iPhone application. I have seen it demonstrated a few times. The Volt team seemed to all have the same dummy application on their smart phones (there's an Android version, too). They would say it was connected to "their" Volt, or to one of the demonstration cars, and then act surprised that some of the event dates were from the future (November 4th, if I remember correctly). But it was just a little piece of theater.

Now the actually application is available for download from Apple's iTunes App store. There are already angry comments from people who own 2010 GM models. Talk about needing backwards compatibility, these are very committed people who are pissed off.

Gadgets and computers (and the converging pair) take up a lot of my reading time. I love technology. So I read a blog called Gizmodo. A couple days back Gizmodo ran an article on the iPhone App from OnStar. Get those geeks onboard!
