cts | Volt a Day | Los Angeles Auto Show November 18, 2010

I was on stage for about three minutes. I don't do well in front of large crowds, so it was an experience.
You can see video of it here. The highlight of my day was talking with Tony Posawatz with Chelsea Sexton. Really, I'd like to have another dinner with the two of them. And Rob Peterson. People who have really been involved in the Volt effort and alternative fuel vehicles for a while and have something to say about it.
I asked Tony if he was allowed to take a couple weeks off now, and he said he's working even harder now. That seemed unfortunate, because the moment of the Volt rolling onto the stage, covered with the dirt from a 2,500 miles drive felt like the finish line in so many ways.
The USC news crew called and did a telephone interview yesterday when the Volt won the Car of the Year award from Motor Trend. That's online here.
