I know that this sort of thing is going to hit the market in the next five to ten years. And it will be a real game changer. That's a bit of battery that the researchers at Rice University and Lockheed Martin created. It increased the storage capacity of a Lithium Ion battery tenfold. That means the Volt would have a four hundred mile range. It might cost more than forty grand, but it would be able to go to Vegas and have a lot of range left over.
